Video Art was born in Germany in the early 60's, and has rapidly developed since then thanks to the creation of the portable camcorder {1965}, and more recently digital video {1995}, which tremendously eases the management of images. At its origins, Video Art is a medium of strong expressionism {opposition to the rising TV culture, recording of live performances, etc.}, but progressively it has been leaning towards more aesthetic creations. In this particular domain, nowadays Video Art combines plastic arts and motion, beyond static plasticism, leading in style video clips and advertising movies. |
Plastic TV's creations are contemporary art pieces for TV screens. With Plastic TV, a TV set is no longer a dull and dark object, its screen unveils splendid and stunning creations, and it becomes a piece of modern art, an utmost refinement. The most beautiful images of Video Art come into your atmosphere at the pace of lounge music, ambient, trip-hop... each piece has its original soundtrack: Plastic TV carries your eyes and ears away!
