Marcus Kreiss, founder of Souvenirs from the Earth, shoots movies that we will watch 50 years from now, when we leave Earth after its destruction.

After film school Rome and art school in south of France, German born Marcus Kreiss was first a painter and than evolved towards video art. His works can be found in important private and public art collections. Every one of his films is an exploration of different solutions to produce a good "videopainting" a video film completely based on its visual attraction and not on a story. With his work Marcus Kreiss would like to redeem the promise made by science fiction films where interiors had huge screens with slowly moving artwork. He sees his films as an inspiring flux of shocking grace leading the viewer where normal television won't go.
